Nepalese Hand Holder

It’s 1972 and I’m sitting in my wheelchair at the base of the Monkey Temple in Nepal. My brother insists that he try to pull me up the 1,000 stairs. As he tips my chair back, strangers rush around me grabbing every inch of my chair to help. As the group starts carrying me up the stairs a man rushes up to us. Desperately he looks for a place to put his hand to help but there is no room left. He holds out his hand towards me and says Madam may I take your hand? I stretch out my hand towards his.
