Submit a Thirty Second Friendship Story
It could be 30 seconds, 30-minutes, or two hours, but it must be a story about a TRUE, brief, meaningful encounter with a stranger.
Ideally ~500 words, but 700 max.
A few tips: Name your story after the 30 Second Friend (e.g. The Sexy Plumber). Write in present tense if at all possible. Try to avoid stories where someone else is the primary beneficiary for your good deed.
Don’t be shy. If the story qualifies as a 30 Second Second Friendship, even if the writing is not perfect, our editing team will work with you to refine your piece.
We’re a humble, empty-pocketed organization, so currently cannot offer payment for publishing your work on our website. However, if you submit and we publish, we will include your piece in our next contest. Our last contest had a $1,000 grand prize.
All submissions will receive a response (yay or nah) within 14 days. Authors and 30 Second Friendships retain copyright.
